Transcarpathian police extradited a foreigner accused of serious crimes to Hungary

A man, who is wanted by Hungarian law enforcement agencies for armed robbery and resisting police officers using a firearm, was found by Transcarpathian police officers. As of now, he has been handed over to foreign colleagues

The procedure for the transfer of a particularly dangerous criminal to Hungarian law enforcement officers took place at the checkpoint "Tisa". It is a 49-year-old foreigner who was hiding from the law on the territory of Ukraine for having committed several crimes in Hungary. He was charged with, in particular, armed robbery and resistance to police officers using a firearm.

The man has been wanted since 2017, and in early 2019 he was detained by Transcarpathian police officers. Today, police officers of the international police cooperation sectors, together with officers of the Department of International Police Cooperation, National Guard servicemen, operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department, and with the support of the Special Purpose Police Unit of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, handed the criminal over to Hungarian colleagues at the checkpoint "Tisa".

Under Hungarian law, he will be serving the sentence for his crimes in that country.
