Transcarpathian Hungarians are against new language law

This morning, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal met with representatives of the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia to talk about new language bills.

According to MP Vasyl Brenzovych, who is a representative of Hungarians, a number of bills, that are currently under consideration in the Parliament, restrict the rights of minorities

"We have initiated collection of signatures on inadmissibility of narrowing the rights of minorities. Currently, 64 thousand Transcarpathian Hungarians have signed this appeal. We ask the head of the RSA to convey our position to the President. Together, we must prevent these restrictions," – Brenzovych said.

Hennadiy Moskal promised to hand the appeal to the President next Monday.

He also expressed his support for the Hungarian community and noted that he shares the concerns of minorities, and believes that the issue must be resolved during the parliamentary hearings, – the IA ZIK informs.

Recall that MP of Ukraine Vasyl Brenzovych criticized the initiative of the President of Ukraine on fighting with dual citizenship.
