At the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs, customs officers prevented an attempt to illegally carry from Ukraine hookah tobacco in the fuel tank of a vehicle. The tobacco was carried to Hungary by a citizen of Ukraine in a car "VOLKSWAGEN CADDY" with Ukrainian registration.
The Ukrainian chose the "green corridor" for customs control.
During oral questioning, the citizen denied having any goods, including those subject to declaration, and said that he was not carrying any goods hidden from customs control.
Based on analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was taken out of the general queue for in-depth inspection. Thus, customs officers found in the fuel tank of the car 72 kg of foreign-made hookah tobacco "AL FAKHER" "MOLASSES" hidden from customs control.
Thus, the Ukrainian committed actions to transport goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, using a specially made cache.
These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the report on violation of customs regulations has been made, the hookah smoking tobacco worth 57,554 UAH and the car worth 208,205 UAH were seized.
