Transcarpathian customs officers found 210 packs cigarette in the radiator of a car

At the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian Customs, an illegal export of tobacco products to Hungary was prevented. The cigarettes were being transported by a citizen of Ukraine in a Mercedes-Benz Vito108CDI.

The Ukrainian chose the "green corridor" for customs control. During oral questioning, the citizen denied having any goods, including those subject to declaration, and said that he was not carrying any goods hidden from customs control.

Based on analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was taken out of the general queue for in-depth inspection. During the inspection, they found 210 packs of tobacco products with excise stamps of Ukraine hidden from customs control. The tobacco products were located in the cooling radiator of the car, in a specially made cache.

The cost of the found cigarettes is almost 7,500 UAH, and the cost of the car is over 90,000 UAH.

Thus, the citizen of Ukraine committed acts aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, ie using specially manufactured caches. These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the report on violation of customs regulations have been made, the cigarettes and the vehicle were seized.
