Transcarpathian clients of USB should check their accounts

Clients of the USB (UniCredit Group) have become victims of fraud: hundreds of cardholders lost the money from the accounts, UAINFO informed.

 A device that reads out the information was on one of the ATMs from 25 to 27 of May. Tens of thousand hryvnias disappeared from accounts not only in Ukraine but also abroad.

 Ukrsotsbank confirmed the hacker attack, adding that it happened on the night of 5 to 6 of June. At the same time, the financial institution claim that no more than 20 people suffered. "The money will be returned to card accounts by the bank within the next two weeks. All cards subjected to the hacker attack will be reissued and delivered to owners free of charge," – they stated.
