“Transcarpathian Castles” reserve is among the priorities of the region’s culture industry for 2019-2021

Over the next three years, new art, cultural, educational, and research institutions will appear in the region. This was stated by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal during a meeting of the Council for Regional Development.
 – The reconstruction of the Khust regional drama and comedy theater is coming to an end, it will open next year, – the head of the region said. – Also, the restoration of unique wooden churches in Sokyrnytsia in Khust district and Huklyve in Volovets is finishing. In general, the priorities of our culture sphere for 2019-2021 are the increase of grant projects, certification of cultural heritage objects and establishment of the historic-architectural reserve "Castles of Transcarpathia".
 Some of the projects have already been launched. Thus, in the old churches, roofs and damaged structural elements have been replaced. The flow of tourists, who want to see the unique sacred architecture, is constantly increasing.
 The building of Transcarpathian regional drama and comedy theater in Khust is gradually being renovated. The historic-architectural reserve "Castles of Transcarpathia" will be implementing projects for cultural and educational, research activities in the field of cultural heritage protection and museum affairs. According to the latest data, in Transcarpathia, there are about 20 castles and ruins, most of which have a high historical value and great importance for the tourism industry of the region.
 Another priority project for the region is the certification of objects of cultural heritage. In total, there are over 1,800 such objects in the region, and only 60 of them are listed in the relevant state register.

Along with the new projects, the existing program of the support for the publication of works by local authors, the popularization of the Transcarpathian books and promotion of book distribution will continue to be implemented in the region. In 2018 alone, about two dozen books of local authors were published under the program.
