Transcarpathian border guards found almost 5 thousand packs of cigarettes near the border

Today, border guards of the "Dilove" department of the Mukachevo detachment prevented an attempt to smuggle tobacco products across the border.

      While patrolling the mountainous area of ​​the Ukrainian-Romanian border, border guards noticed unknown persons carrying packages wrapped in black plastic bags. 200 meters from the state border, having noticed the border guards, the offenders dropped the packages and ran away. The smugglers planned to illegally deliver to Romania 4980 packs of tobacco goods of different brands.  

         The border guards brought the cigarettes to the border guard unit and later will hand them over to the SFS officers. The search for the persons involved in this offense continues.
