Transcarpathian border guards caught their colleague for bribery

A border guard, who tried to facilitate the smuggling of tobacco products across the border, was detained at the customs post "Luzhanka".

According to the internal security department of the State Border Guard Service, the 21-year-old border guard, who has served at the border less than a year, was engaged in illegal activities. 

The grafter was detained when he was about to leave his post to let smugglers carry the cigarettes.

Internal investigation over this incident will be conducted, the military prosecutor’s office of Uzhgorod garrison was notified.
