Due to the worsening situation in the east, the units of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine, including those at the borders to the EU countries, are in full combat readiness and continue to perform assigned tasks. Chop border guard detachment and border guard units work in the enhanced mode of service.
The protection of the border and border objects is carried out with the involvement of additional capabilities. All units are equipped with additional protective engineering structures and weapons storage facilities are heavily guarded. All units are provided with additional logistical means.
These activities are carried out to prevent attempts to capture or block border units, provocations on the state border, to preserve weapons and property, and to protect military personnel and border guards’ family members.
