This week, the training for border guards of the Western Regional Office with the participation of the police of the Federal Republic of Germany started at the Department of Border Guard Service "Uzhgorod" of the Chop Border Guard Detachment. Thus, during the 5-day training, German police officers will conduct practical classes on organization and performance of duties at the control posts.
Practical classes take up almost 60 percent of the training course. The instructors will be explaining the meaning of each type of training, in particular types of search measures and control of persons and vehicles on the internal and external borders of the Schengen area, the basics of documents checks and more.
Through the cooperation with foreign counterparts, border guards will be able in the future to adopt the standards of border protection in the Schengen zone.
At the end of the week, German police officers will sum up the training and give diplomas to the participants.
