On Wednesday, October 30, the delegation of Transcarpathian region participated in the opening of the International forum of tourism and hospitality, which takes place in Lviv. The event was opened by the Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Serhiy Vasilenko. During the Forum, the XIV International Fair "TourEXPO 2013" and the VII specialized exhibition "Hotel and restaurant business" took place.
Representatives of four foreign countries and 8 regions of Ukraine take part in the Forum. The Forum of tourism and hospitality will continue until November 1 at the Sport Palace "Ukraine" in Lviv. The Transcarpathian delegation is headed by the Deputy Director of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Eduard Malyar. Transcarpathian region had its own exhibition space where guests of the forum could learn about tourism opportunities of our region, receive the publication "Tourism gems of Transcarpathia" and "Transcarpathian villages invite to vacation."
The same day, there was the joint Polish – Ukrainian seminar on "Cross-border cooperation in tourism in the Carpathians Euroregion". At the forum, they discussed the development strategy of promoting tourism opportunities and obscure objects of Ukraine, presented the regions’s facilities for recreation in the Carpathians, promotion of active and eco-tourism in Ukraine, creation of a sort of platform for negotiations, including those with foreign participants.
