Transcarpathia is mourning for the killed soldiers

On Friday (6.07), about 6 in the morning, during the military exercise at the Rivne training range, four soldiers of the 15th separate mountain infantry battalion, which is a part of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade and is based in Uzhgorod, were killed. Four more soldiers were injured.

According to preliminary information, a mortar exploded during the exercises. Two soldiers died on the spot, two on the way to the hospital, four more were wounded. Two of the killed are residents of Uzhgorod, another one is from Perechyn.

– All the soldiers were combatants, experienced fighters, who defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the Donbas, – Hennadiy Moskal said. – The regional state administration is deeply sad about the death of the heroes and expresses sincere condolences to their families and friends.

Hennadiy Moskal signed a decree on the announcement of the Day of Mourning in Transcarpathia due to the death of the soldiers of the 15th separate mountain infantry battalion. On Saturday, July 7, state flags on the buildings of local self-government bodies, state institutions, enterprises and organizations of Transcarpathian region will be at half-mast. In addition, institutions and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, are recommended to cancel entertainment and concert events.
