Today, in his native village in Kendereshovo in Mukachevo district, there was the funeral of the commander of the "Aydar" battalion unit Oleg Sidor (call sign – Scythian), who was killed by an enemy bullet around 3 am, on Friday, January 9.
Relatives, friends and military colleagues came to say good-bye to the hero.
The ceremony began with a tragic song "Duck is floating…", which became a symbol of the Maidan. Then, fellow battalion members performed songs in memory of the deceased Transcarpathian and told about the courage and bravery of the commander.
There was also a farewell prayer by the clergy.
The hero was buried in the village cemetery, which is near his home. Two children, by the way, became orphans.
