Traffic inspectors found the vehicle involved in the collision on schoolgirls

October 27, at about 21.30, in the village of Rativtsi in Uzhgorod district, three girls returning home did not pay attention to the car, which was moving towards them, until it drove into oncoming traffic and headed directly to them. One girl managed to bounce off, the other two – students of the 8th and the 11th grades – were hit with the hood of a car.

The driver came out of the vehicle, asked the girls if they were all right, said that he would return in a minute, and disappeared from the scene. The police officers and an ambulance arrived at the scene. The girls with fractures were taken to the hospital. In several minutes, Uzhgorod district traffic inspectors found the car that the driver had left in his yard, and ran away. To find out the identity of the driver was not difficult, because the 33-year-old unemployed local resident had already been on the police records.

The car involved in the accident was placed on the impound lot. The measures to establish the whereabouts of the the driver are being taken.
