A tourist train with a locomotive will make a trip for the first time in Transcarpathia, and a sightseeing tour on the narrow-gauge railway will be presented. The event will be held on August 4, the beginning is at 12.00, near the railway station of the city of Vynogradiv.
The 1950 steam locomotive, which was recently delivered from Haivoron, will be driving three cars along the route Vynogradiv – Chorny Potik – Shalanky – Khmilnyk – Vynogradiv. The program features colorful performances by folk groups and delicious local eco-products.
The launch of the tourist train is timed to the day of the railroad worker, which is celebrated on August 6. The organizers say that the pilot project will be implemented during August and the train will be running on Fridays and Saturdays.
Tickets for the tourist train will be available at the ticket offices of the train station.
