Every year on the second Sunday of October (since 1998), artists celebrate the Day of the Painter of Ukraine. And our Transcarpathians are no exception.
On the occasion of the national holiday, as we informed, Transcarpathian audience will be able to see two exhibitions. In the halls of the Transcarpathian Regional Museum, the exhibition of paintings by Transcarpathian artists has opened. And in the "Uzhgorod" gallery, they traditionally demonstrated their skills through graphic and applied art.
Until October 19, you have the opportunity to see the creative heritage of 145 authors, including 79 painters, 60 graphic artists and 6 sculptors.
The Head of the Transcarpathian National Union of Artists of Ukraine Boris Kuzma at the opening of the exposition concluded: "While selecting works for the exhibition we were limited only by the number of works submitted (a single best one from each artist).However, it is discouraging that in recent years, Union members have not been actively participating in national and international exhibitions. Maybe because the average age of members is 60 years." Boris Kuzma is convinced that it is necessary to attract young, interesting and talented authors to enhance the activities of the organization.
So, until October 19 each of you can come and assess achievements of our Transcarpathian artists.
