To identify violators, Ukrainian customs officials use the information field of neighboring countries

Transcarpathian customs office monitors the situation with the identification of offenders carrying contraband cigarettes, the Communication Department of the Main Office of the SFS in Transcarpathian region informs. It concerns, in particular, detention of violators in countries that share a border with Ukraine in Transcarpathia. Thus, yesterday, customs officials received information that officers of the Hungarian border police had detained a citizen who was carrying a large quantity of cigarettes. The citizen was stopped in a car "Audi" with Czech registration, near the checkpoint "Vylok – Tiszabecs." The specialists of the Transcarpathian custom office responded promptly and checked whether the detained vehicle had crossed the customs border of Ukraine at the checkpoint "Vylok."However, according to the customs office data bases, the vehicle never crossed the border. The customs office stress that they will continue to actively monitor the information space of neighboring countries, cooperate with related agencies of other states to more effectively deal with violators of customs legislation.
