On the occasion of the Day of Unification, two Transcarpathian artists received state awards. According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the Order "For Merit" of the third degree was awarded to the master of woodworking Yuriy Pavlovich, while painter Vasyl Shyndra was awarded with the honorary title "Honored Artist of Ukraine".
In addition, the Order of Princess Olha was awarded to Olena Fedorova – the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council of the Union of Ukrainian Women.
One of the representatives of Transcarpathia – Yuriy Pavlovich – received a high award personally from Poroshenko during the celebrations in the capital.
