This Sunday Uzhgorod residents will be fighting stereotypes

"We live side-by-side with them. For someone it is easier to ingnore their existence, others despise them, someone exploits, manipulates them, someone tries to find common ground, to help in everyday life, after all – to greet and smile on the street. We are talking about Uzhgorod Roma. What do we know about them, about their culture, where does it disappear, what is their history and what are their lives like in this city? After all it is their city too!" – the Tourinform Transcarpathia writes.

Uzhgorod open tours organizers suggest to get rid of this ignorance. This Sunday, April 14, Yevhenia Navrotska, who for decades has been studying the history, present, and culture of Roma people, will lead sightseers to the most songful people of Transcarpathia.

The beginning is at 14.00 on Teatralna Square.
