“This situation is just a circus of outsiders,” – V. Chubirko

This is how the Chairman of the Regional Council and a candidate for the mayor of Uzhgorod Volodymyr Chubirko described the Uzhgorod assembly on his page on facebook. 

"Uzhgorod residents! I think that many of you remember well that I have been with you since the first day of the Maidan", – V. Chubirko writes. 

He adds: "Today, after the local elections, the team of Mykhailo Kachur arranges various meetings and rallies in Uzhgorod." 

"With all due respect to the opponents, this situation is just a circus of outsiders. For having all the administrative resource, law enforcement agencies at hand, they spent most of the campaign silently watching vote-buying in Uzhgorod. They had facts, they knew exactly who was handing out money and where, but at the time this situation was beneficial for them, because they were convinced that the brand of "Solidarnist" and Moskal could easily carry them to the second round of the mayoral election and their people to local councils", – he says.

"So I will not stop to argue that the people who today call Uzhgorod residents to the street are as responsible as those that bought the votes. For they had all the resources to prevent fraud.

I was fighting to the last moment and if I am not mistaken, I was the only one who has filed with the police a statement on the use of illegal methods.   Gentlemen from the "Solidarnist": Mykhailo Kachur, Valeriy Patskan, Robert Horvath for some reason were silent throughout the elections…And only now they started to do something. When it is too late. Ridiculous…" – Volodymyr Chubirko concludes.
