On July 10, a crowd gathered near the facade of the Regional Music and Drama Theater in Uzhgorod – the theater arranged there a charity concert to support their colleague, actor Taras Hamaha, who is waiting for an aorta operation in Kyiv. He also needs prostheses, their total cost is 360 thousand hryvnia (they have raised 160 thousand hryvnia).
The host of the concert was the actor of the theater, Lyubomyr Helyas, who told about his colleague, occasionally reminded the reason they had gathered there. There was the performance of the theater orchestra, choreographic excerpts from the productions "What Willows are Weeping About" and "A Step from Love". The exemplary children’s choreographic ensemble "Nasha Faita" also participated in the charity event. The Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Sadvari sang from the "stage". The soloist of the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir Yana Sadvari performed Taras Hamaha’s favourite songs.
The initiator and organizer of the charity campaign, actor Rudolf Dzurinets ("Better Stay Dead", "The Heir") said: "We couldn’t stay away. We had to organize something, because Taras needs a lot of money. We had to help, because nobody knows what may happen tomorrow. I’m glad that so many people took part in the organization. Thanks to everyone. And also to those who came to see".
Taras Hamaha on his Facebook page sincerely thanked everyone, he does not lose his optimism and sense of humor. The results of the event are already known: the theater artists raised 15,440 hryvnia for the colleague.
