On April 6, at 16.00, the third exhibition and contest "World of Easter Eggs" will open in the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life. Its purpose is popularization and development of Easter egg making traditions in Transcarpathian region, introduction to different types of Easter egg painting, reproduction of its authentic designs, drawing attention to and respect for the Ukrainian folk traditions and customs.
Artists working in traditional Easter egg making techniques are invited to take part in the event. One participant may submit for the exhibition 10 or more eggs.
Following the exhibition, a catalog album will be prepared and the best exhibits will be awarded prizes in the categories "Traditional Easter egg", "Original Easter egg", "Innovative solution".
To participate in the exhibition, send a few photos with Easter eggs to the Museum by email (uzhgorodskansen@ukr.net) or on social network Facebook (page of Uzhgorod Skansen). Easter eggs for the exhibition will be accepted until April 3. Contribute to the creation of Easter mood in our city!
