The water level in rivers will rise, thawing is coming to Transcarpathia

Thawing is coming to Transcarpathia. In early February, gradual rise of the water level in the rivers is expected.

Ths was announced by the Transcarpathian Hydrometeorology Center.

 "On 3-6 of February, the inflow of melt water and a gradual increase in water levels is expected on the rivers in the region. In some sections of rivers, mostly low-lying areas of the region, destruction of ice cover, ice drifting is expected, near bridges and in areas of narrowed channels – the formation of ice jams, with fleeting increase of water level by 0.5-1.5m," – the statement reads.
