On Friday, January 26, the "IX Carpathica Art Expo" – an exhibition of works by members of the Mihaly Munkacsy Artist Association of the Society of Hungarian Intellectuals of Transcarpathia, as well as other regional artists – will open in the regional museum of folk architecture and rural life.
The association was created in 2007 at the art gallery in the village of Pyiterfolvo in Vynogradiv district. During its existence, the association organized more than fifty personal and collective exhibitions both in Ukraine and abroad.
Today the M.Munkacsy Artist Association includes about a hundred ethnic Hungarians of the region: journalists, musicians, artists. The latter account for almost one third of the Association.
This time, Ivan Reiti, Gabor Gomoki, Angela Turak, Petro and Gabriella Sholtes, Edita Nigrini, Mykola Shete, Shandor Baloh, and others will present their contributions.
The art event is dedicated to the Hungarian Culture Day.
