The State Border Guard Service clarified the situation at the Transcarpathian checkpoints “Luzhanka” and “Tisa”

Regarding the situation at the checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border
In recent days, there has been a certain accumulation of vehicles on the border with Hungary leaving Ukraine through the checkpoints "Chop (Tisa)" and "Luzhanka".
This situation is primarily due to the introduction of additional control measures on the Hungarian side to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, as well as the need to check the documents of travelers. In particular, in addition to passports, the Hungarian police are carefully checking the documents confirming the purpose of the trip or the transit nature of the trip. Accordingly, the time for passing control procedures increases.
We would also like to remind you that the checkpoints "Chop (Tisa)" and "Luzhanka" are designated as the only checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border for transit trips.
Currently, about 150 buses are still waiting for registration at the checkpoint "Luzhanka", and almost 100 more vehicles are waiting in front of the checkpoint "Chop (Tisa)". Yesterday, 400 cars left Ukraine for Hungary via those checkpoints.
