The meeting of Uzhgorod City Council was scheduled for today, November 17. However, only 5 deputies have registered in the session hall. There is no quorum, therefore there will be no session.
The Chairman Vitaliy Semal reminded everyone that he had written a letter of resignation as the secretary and the deputy of the city council, and said that, according to the procedure, a new secretary should be elected.
He expressed hope that on Thursday deputies would approve his resignation.
The former rector of UzhNU Fedir Vashchuk came to the session from Slovakia and he asked Semal what he would do if the resignation is not approved by deputies, to which Mr. Vitaliy answered that he did not plan to remain neither the secretary nor a deputy, nor the deputy mayor, therefore, he would insist on the resignation.
Currently, the negotations on the single candidate for the secretary continue. The same applies to deputy mayors.
V. Semal also signed the decisions which the majority voted for at the last session.
