Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region documented the fact of soliciting and receiving illegal benefit by the acting head of the urban planning complex and land resources department of Uzhgorod City Council.
In return of 600 dollars the official promised to help a local entrepreneurs to obtain permissions of the Executive Committee of Uzhgorod City Council for arrangement of four mobile coffee shops.
October 14 this year, in an Uzhgorod cafe, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the official "red-handed" during the receipt of the agreed amount, the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine reported.
October 17, 2013, the offender was notified of suspision of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 14 and Part 4 of Article 368 (preparation for obtaining illegal benefit, combined with its extortion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pretrial investigation continues.
Recall, October 14, the fact of registration of this incident in the URPI was announced by the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.
