The scanner at the Slovak checkpoint “Vysne Nemecke” is out of order

Transcarpathian customs of the State Customs Service informs that from August 29 this year, there has been a significant accumulation of trucks leaving Ukraine in front of the checkpoint "Uzhgorod-Vysne Nemecke" on the Ukrainian-Slovak border. Thus, as of September 7, 20, the queue on the Uzhgorod bypass road is almost 200 trucks. The reason for the queue of trucks in front of the checkpoint is the failure of the stationary scanning system being used by the Slovak customs.

At present, the Slovak customs checkpoint is using a mobile scanning unit with a very low capacity.

According to the information received from the employees of the checkpoint "Vysne Nemecke", it is unknown when the repair of the stationary system will be completed.

Please take this information into account if you plan to cross the border through the checkpoint "Uzhgorod-Vysne Nemecke".
