The amazing tree-flowers as though have dressed town streets in a pink gown. The city has drowned in the lush many-petaled buds of sakura. These exotic trees feel like home in Uzhgorod due to the warm climate.
First sakura was brought here from Japan over a hundred years ago. There are thousands of them in the city now. Every year citizens plant new sakura alleys, because these decorative trees are considered to be the symbol of our city.
