The Regional State Administration denies the information about reduction of school forms

The information about reduction of school forms in Transcarpathian region spread by some media is untrue.

– Transcarpathia is one of the few regions of Ukraine, where there is no population decline – the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal said. – Compared to the last year, the number of first-graders, who will go to school on September 1, has even increased. In Transcarpathia, there are no ungraded schools, therefore no closure or reduction of school forms can even be considered. No new schools have been established in our region, all students will be studying where they studied last year, no one will go to schools in nearby villages. Therefore, the "news" that in 2016 – 2017 school year, the number of forms in Transcarpathia will be cut and children will go studying in other schools is fake.
