The regional council to coordinate the work on providing volunteer and charitable assistance has been established at the RSA, and the provisions on the regional council has been approved. The Deputy Governor Mykhailo Rivis was appointed as the chairman of the council.
According to the provisions, the council is a standing body to the Regional State Administration, formed to ensure cooperation of public authorities with charitable and volunteer organizations, provision of assistance to elderly, disabled persons, disabled children, orphans, children deprived of parental care, families who are in difficult circumstances, internally displaced persons, participants of the antiterrorist operation.
The main tasks of the council are: identifying the needs of elderly, disabled persons, handicapped children, orphans and children deprived of parental care, families in difficult circumstances, internally displaced persons, participants of the antiterrorist operation;
identification of ways, mechanisms and methods to solve issues that arise during the organization of volunteer and charitable assistance;
development of suggestions to amend the laws of Ukraine on volunteerism and philanthropy.
