The prosecutor’s office check the validity of the destruction of green space on Sobranetska street

Uzhgorod Prosecutors initiated an inspection on the destruction of green space, near apartment buildings number 74 and number 78 on Sobranetska street in Uzhgorod.
Regional Internet sites reported that the said green area on Sobranetska street had been destroyed by removing the topsoil and vegetation for the purpose of laying the road.
Therefore, in accordance with Part 1 of Art. 21 of the Law of Ukraine "On Prosecutor’s Office" and Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On Citizens’ Appeals", the Prosecutor’s Office sent the mayor of Uzhgorod the publication with the requirement to verify the arguments of the appeal and, if there are grounds for that, to take comprehensive measures to eliminate violations.
The City Council shall inform the prosecutor of Uzhgorod on response measures and sent the results of the inspection within the statutory period. The public will be informed on the results of the check later.
