The police of Mukachevo opened a criminal proceeding over causing bodily injuries to a 29-year-old resident of the village of Bukovinka. The man, who had caused the injuries, was detained by the police. The investigation continues.
Yesterday, March 21, at 21:25, the local hospital reported to the Mukachevo police department about the hospitalization of a 29-year-old woman, a resident of the village of Bukovinka, with a stab wound.
The investigative team found out that in the course of the quarrel that arose between the relatives at home, the man took a knife and stabbed his stepdaughter in the stomach.
The 44-year-old man was arrested by law enforcement agencies in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The victim is in a medical institution, doctors diagnosed her with a penetrating wound of the abdominal wall. The tool of the crime – a knife – was seized and sent for expert examination.
The police continue to establish the circumstances of this incident. The fact of causing intentional serious bodily harm was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations with the legal classification of Article 121 (1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation continues.
