The number of tourists in Transcarpathia has increased

 In January-February, Transcarpathia was visited by a third more tourists than last year

According to a summary provided by tourist facilities in the region, the indicators of financial and economic activity of tourism and recreation, spa and hotel facilities in Transcarpathia in January-February this year rose by a third compared to the same period of the last year. "Overall growth in the number of tourists was 35% and in absolute terms the total number of tourists exceeded 42 thousand persons excluding the data on the city of Uzhgorod", – the Head of Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Denys Man said.

The largest number of tourists visited Rakhiv district. "This trend may continue in the coming months, because there is enough snow on the Dragobrat, so the demand for vacation there will remain – Denys Man predicts. – Given the spring time and approaching period of blooming in the Valley of Daffodils and sakura trees in Uzhgorod, the number of tourists will increase further."

Currently, the relevant department of theRSA together with tourism business entities are preparing to participate in the largest spring exhibition in Ukraine – UITT, which will be held in the city of Kyiv. Transcarpathia will present at the exhibition tourism potential of the region and conduct negotiations with representatives of the tourism market.
