The National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting has set fines for broadcasters and TV providers for violation of the law.
The decision was adopted at the meeting on Thursday.
As noted, the fines are set at 5 to 15% of the company’s license cost.
The regulator submittes the decision for registration with the Ministry of Justice. The decision shall enter into force after fines are approved by the Cabinet.
As explained be members of the regulator, they have three types of sanctions for companies: a warning, fines and filing a claim in court to revoke the license.
However, the amount of fines were not approved and could not be appled as sanction.
