According to him, the possibility of reopening of two-way traffic on Shvabska street has been considered by the transport committee, today the Executive Committee supported the proposal of the Commission.

"As for the street repair: we have done everything to improve the state of Shvabska street, there are still some things to be done, we are working on it. But the current situation is that traffic, particularly during rush hours, is difficult in that area. On Friday, I made several runs in the city, travelled by bus, heard people’s opinion. Therefore I asked the transport commission to deal with this issue. The Commission endorsed the request of Uzhgorod residents, carriers, and we have prepared a draft decision on reopening of two-way traffic on Svhabska street," – the Mayor Victor Pogorelov said.

Two-way traffic will be resumed on October 1. However, the mayor of Uzhgorod said, there will be certain restrictions: upon the introduction of two-way traffic, it will be prohibited to stop and park cars on the road segment between Svoboda Avenue and Zhemayte street.
