The Head of the Health Department of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Roman Shnitser has written the statement of resignation. This happened after the activists of the Lustration Committee and the Right Sector had come to him.
The official is accused of corruption, as well as working for the previous government.
Roman Shnitser wrote the statement without any comments. He only said that he was not holding on the seat, moreover, this position had given him "two heart attacks."
After the registration of the statement with the Office of the Regional State Administration, the activists also visited the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko. He reviewed the statement, however, he said that the resignation of the official must be approved by the Ministry of Health.
Activists plan to return to this issue in a few days, because they are convinced that officials who "served" the former government have no right to occupy high positions now – after the overthrow of Yanukovych’s regime.
