The list of one hundred richest people in Ukraine includes three Transcarpathians

The newly published special issue of the magazine "Focus" titled "100 richest people of Ukraine" for the first time features as many as three persons, that are one way or another related to Transcarpathia – the "Holos Karpat" informs.

Strictly speaking, none of them lives permanently in the region, but two of them come from Transcarpathia, and the third one has the main business here.

The richest Transcarpathian, according to the magazine, is Nestor Shufrych. He is on the 41st place in the list with 156 million dollars. He has the main source of income as a minority shareholder of the "Naftahazvydobutok" (where the majority of shares are owned by Akhmetov). He also uses one of the most expensive aircrafts registered for an offshore company. The cost of the jet is 50 million dollars.

For the first time, the list features Oleg Boyaryn. His car plant near Uzhgorod has repeatedly aroused interest of journalists and experts, colleagues. But now the Ukrainian automotive industry is living through tough times. Therefore, his fortune is much more modest than that of Shufrych – 40 million (92nd place).

Also, the additional list (foreigners related to Ukraine) features another native of Transcarpathia – Alex Rovt. His fortune is one and a half billion dollars. In Ukraine, only R.Akhmetov now has more (2.2 billion). In 1974, A.Rovt emigrated to Hungary, and from there he moved to the United States, where he became the king of fertilizers. Today he owns 35 buildings in New York, including some skyscrapers. He visits Transcarpathia quite often, keeps relationships with local businessmen, albeit personal rather than business ones.
