The level of foreign investment in Transcarpathia has fallen by 74%

During the first half of this year, the level of direct foreign investment in Transcarpathian region has decreased by 74%. This year, foreign investors have invested in the regional economy almost USD 2.3 million of investments, which is USD 6.4 million less than that for the same period in the last year. As of July 1, 2015, the volume of investments made since the beginning of the FDI into the region’s economy amounted to USD 313.3 million which is 6.3% less that the investments at the beginning of 2015.

This year, the total volume of foreign trade has decreased by almost a third. Exports and imports of goods have decreased by 19% and 38.2% respectively.
