The leader of the Democratic Union of Hungarians of Romania was not allowed to enter Transcarpathia

Today, in the morning, the leader of the Romanian Hungarian Democratic Union (RMDSZ), Hunor Kelemen, who was going to Uzhgorod to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Society of Hungarian Culture of Transcarpathia (KMKSZ), was not allowed into Ukraine. This was reported by Dmytro Tuzhanskyi on his Facebook page.

The Romanian politician and one of the leaders of the Hungarian community of Romania was not allowed to enter through the checkpoint "Zahony-Tisa" on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. According to Hunor Kelemen, he was detained on the Ukrainian side for about an hour, and then a report was made and a stamp about the ban on entry to Ukraine until October 13, 2020 was put in his passport. Hunor Kelemen was traveling to Ukraine with 2 colleagues, and those were allowed to enter our country.

My sources confirmed this information, noting that it happened between 8 and 9 am at the mentioned crossing point. It’s hard to say what exactly was the reason for the ban on entry, but in the Ukrainian base, there is a certain "index" next to the name of Hunor Kelemen. Kelemen told reporters that he had not been told the reason for the entry ban.
