The “land” claim of the Prosecutor’s Office under the request of Patskan was withdrawn from the court (document)

The prosecutors confirmed the information about the withdrawal of the "land" claim for the abolition of urban planning documentation on Stefanik street at the request of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Valeriy Patskan.

Accordingly, the court has closed the proceedings in this case.

Recall that the "land" saga began last year when land owners learned from the media that Patskan was going to court to cancel the decision of Uzhgorod City Council №1582 of September 17, 2010, under which the urban planning documentation for all the area of Stefanik street in Uzhgorod was approved, that in the future could have led to the abolition of state certificates of title to land.

The owners immediately stood up to protect their rights. According to them, they have repeatedly appealed to relevant agencies with complaints and allegations of illegal inspections that were to become grounds for cancellation of the decision of the City Council and, thus, land certificates. But the agencies did not respond to the complaints.

The MP also commented on the situation. In particular, at the press conference in Uzhgorod on March 12 he denied the allegations on the part of Uzhgorod residents who accused him of trying to take away their land.

The people appealed to the President of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General and the Parliament. As a result, the "land" claim has been withdrawn.

However, it is too early to close the books on the case. As the prosecutor of Uzhgorod Ivan Zareva said, answering questions of Uzhgorod residents, during the public hearing on March 12, some land plots had been allocated illegally, so in this regard, the prosecutor’s office is preparing a separate lawsuit.
