The consideration of the issue was postponed to May 23. This was reported by Vitaliy Gregor, a public lawyer after the meeting of the executive committee of Uzhgorod City Council.
According to him, the Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv publicly opposed the construction in this public space of Uzhgorod and offered to register on the official site of the city council an electronic petition to take into account the position of the entire community.
The architect of the city, Oleg Borshovsky, said that the developers I.Tehza and R.Yursa, who purchased the territory (3 plots) in violation of the master plan of the city and in 2016 already cut off old fir trees, refused to swap this plots for another one and insist on construction of a multi-story building with underground parking there.
The community of the Transcarpathian regional center expressed at today’s executive committee hopes that for the current government, public interests are more important than private ones.
