Uzhgorod STI notes that the number of the taxpayer’s registration card (ID code) is used by state and local government bodies, legal entities regardless of organizational and legal forms, including the National Bank of Ukraine, banks and other financial institutions, stock exchanges, persons who carry out independent professional activity, individuals – entrepreneurs and natural persons in all documents that contain information about the objects of taxation of individuals or the payment of taxes.
In cases provided by the law individuals must present a passport and to provide documentary evidence of the registration number.
This document may be taxpayer card certifying the registration of an individual in the State Register of Natural Persons – Taxpayers.
However, instead of the card as a separate document, data on the registration number entered in the passport of a citizen of Ukraine may be used. These data are entered in the passport at the request of an individual by any body of the SFS.
The form of data on the registration number to be entered in the passport of a citizen of Ukraine is established in the Annex 4 to the Regulation on the registration of individuals in the State Register of Natural Persons – Taxpayers.
