The “gold” ski of the Ukrainian champion made in Transcarpathia will be preserved in the museum of the International Olympic Committee

Ukraine currently has only one medal at the Winter Olympics in Korea, but a gold one. It was won by freestyleist Oleksandr Abramenko.

As we have noted, the victory of the Ukrainian has Transcarpathian "accent" – the champion’s coach is our Enver Ablaev, the famous ski acrobat, three-time Olympian. Today, Transcarpathia was once again mentioned in this context: the champion gave his ski, with which he won the gold medal, to the Olympic museum in Lausanne. The Ukrainian sportsman was competing in the finals with a pair of skis "TISA", made at the factory in Mukachevo. From now on, one of them, with the autograph of the champion and with the inscription "Ukraine," will remind about this victory in the museum of the International Olympic Committee, – the Olympic Committee of Ukraine reported on its facebook page.

By the way, The New York Times updated the background picture on Facebook and posted on it a photo of Ukrainian freestyleist Oleksandr Abramenko, who won gold medal in Pyongchang.

And on February 24, the Ukrainian snowboarder from Transcarpathia – Annamari Dancha-Chundak – will be competing at the Olympics. Let’s support our girl and the Ukrainian team!
