Officers of the specialized department for investigation of crimes in the field of transport completed pre-trial investigation into the fatal accident in the village of Nyzhnye Solotvyno in Uzhgorod. The accused foreigner faces imprisonment of up to eight years
The case against the 22-year-old foreigner, who ran over a 15-year-old resident of Nyzhnye Solotvyno and tried to leave abroad, was sent to court.
During the pre-trial investigation, officers of the specialized department for investigation of crimes in the field of transport of the Transcarpathian police found out that on September 17, the 22-year-old man violated the law. He is charged with criminal acts under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, violation of traffic safety rules that caused the death of the victim and Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, leaving in danger.
The case has been forwarded to the court, which will determine the punishment for the crime.
