The ‘fish soup’ fans gather in the village Velyki Beregy for the third year in a row, to participate in the soup cooking competition. Twelve teams among which three are from Hungary came here this year. Two-time champions of Hungary in cooking, twin brothers Antal and Atilla Hayday are also among guests. They used exotic seafood in their soup, such as shrimp, clams, etc.
One of the main components of the other participants’ soup was, of course, fish. The more the better. But each participant has his own recipe. Guests had fun because they were entertained with competitions. The most spectacular became a kind of competition in cleaning the fish properly and quickly.
The official start of the fishing season was given during the soup festival in Beregove district.
