"Sakura Wine" is a new format of wine festival for Uzhgorod, which aims to promote the culture of wine in Transcarpathia, to show potential of the region to tourists and local residents.
The festival, which will take place from 21 to 23 of April, is timed to the bright event for Uzhgorod and Transcarpathia as a whole – sakura blossoming.
"This year we are opening a new page in the history of festivals in the city – the organizer of the festival "Sakura Wine" Olga Toyichkina says. – I have been cherishing the idea of creating such a festival format for two years. The dates were chosen for a reason: the peak of sakura blossom is expected at the end of April, it will be incredibly beautiful in the city and many tourists will come at that time.
The team of the organizers carefully checks the quality of products of all festival participants. Then we will choose the best of the best, those who really raise the production of wine in Ukraine to a new level.
Many entertainment events are expected at the festival: we plan to plant an entire alley of sakura trees, there will be lectures and tasting sessions with reputable Ukrainian sommeliers and winemakers, there will be a movie room for those who want to comfortably lie down and watch a good film, and there will also be a children’s zone for all our guests with young children.
During the festival, we will choose the best rosé wine in Ukraine."
You will be able to see all that, taste wines from big and small wineries and food from the best farms from all over Ukraine on 21-23 of April in the "Owl’s Nest" and the park in the city center.
