The first Viticulture and Winemaking Museum in Transcarpathia will be opened and a musical movie about grape harvesting will be presented in Beregovo

On Saturday, October 12, a holiday dedicated to the Transcarpathian product, and even art – wine and winemaking – will be held in Beregovo.

The Museum of History and Culture of Viticulture and Winemaking of Transcarpathia will be opened, which will not only the first of its kind, but also interactive. The highlight of the opening ceremony will be the presentation of the musical film about grape harvesting by "Akurat Transcarpathia" with the participation of the Transcarpathian Folk Choir.

The museum has its original name: The Museum of the winemaker Chiz. He was a real historical figure, a man who lived near the modern Beregovo in the XIII century, owned vineyards in the Chizay tract, which was named after him.

The museum is not a collection of old exhibits, but a modern institution of a new format, which presents in an easy and interesting form a lot of information about grapes, wine, winemaking, its development in the world, Ukraine and our region. And this story is definitely interesting, because the process was influenced by different peoples and cultures. The winemaker Chiz shows guests this historic maze, which is in fact four cozy halls with interactive elements. The team of Transcarpathia’s leading winery, which have invested a lot of energy and soul into the creation of the Museum, brought this person back to life.

The concert program "Grape harvesting in the mountains" features gems of Transcarpathian music and dance realated to the theme of grape harvesting and winemaking.

According to the producer of the film, the founder of the "Akurat Transcarpathia" Natalia Shtefutsa, she wanted to film this program, as soon as she saw it performed by the legendary choir.    

The holiday in the territory of the winery (Beregovo, Chizay tract, 1) will begin on October 12 at 11 o’clock in the format of the Open Doors Day and will continue until the evening. The grand opening of the Museum of the Winemaker Chiz will take place at 12.00, and the presentation of the musical film already – at 12.45. The registration form is available at: https://chizay.com/museum-winemaker-chiz/.
