Happy parents of the first 5 newborn babies in the maternity hospital in Uzhhorod received not only birth certificates for the children, but also documents for registration of their places of residence.
Officials were first to congratulate the parents of little Andriy – the first-born of a young family. The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv wished the baby good health, their parents – patience, and stressed that the new service – registration of the place of residence right in the maternity hospital – would greatly simplify paperwork, save time for family affairs. "We hope this practice will spread quickly to other cities and regions of our country", – the Mayor said.
We remind what is required for registration of a newborn baby’s place of residence:
Documents shall be submitted personally by parents who should add to a written application documents proving their identity and a receipt of payment of the administrative fee (27.20 UAH).
If parents reside at different addresses, the child’s place of residence is registered at one of the parents’ with a written consent of the other parent in the presence of the person, who receives the application, or subject to a duly certified written consent of the other parent.
According to the law, a newborn child can be registered only at the place of residence of one of the parents, registration at the place of residence of other persons is not allowed.
