The first case in 10 years: diphtheria was found in Transcarpathia

It has not been recorded in Transcarpathia for 10 years
A foreign student turned to doctors with symptoms similar to angina, but as the doctors found out, it was diphtheria.
It is a deadly disease and if you do not seek help in 4-5 days, it can be fatal.
The foreigner is hospitalized and isolated. All people he has contacted are currently being checked.
Today at a press conference in Uzhgorod, doctors said that the best way to prevent diphtheria is vaccination.
According to the doctors, there are enough vaccines in Transcarpathia, but Transcarpathians are not rushing to get vaccinated.
Currently, less than half of the people are vaccinated, and the public immunity from the disease requires 95% of people to be vaccinated.
